Well!

That sure was. A Year.

I know it being the holidays, RP is probably far from most minds right now, but with the encroaching new year and the many, many, many... [sigh]many hiccups we all dealt with this year I would like to be able to try and bring something back that is less on the "oh gods will we survive?" spectrum and more on the "hey I can mentally check out for a couple of hours with something distracting" line.

That said, I'm also aware that for some Aba has been going on for a really long time and that maybe you're not as interested as you once were, which is perfectly valid! I know I said once upon a time I had an intention of there being a being an ending, and maybe some day I'll make good on that properly when I really feel like it's run it's course and I've got nothing left, but for now I just want the setting to keep going.

However that's not to say nothing of import will be happening. I have a small change and some details of things going forward. So please read on!

Starting now I will be putting up Interest Checks every three months. This is not an Activity Check. What you have or haven't done in Aba will not be weighted in any way against your responses.

What it will be is a chance for me to see who is still around and what characters are still around, which will allow me to more effectively edit relevant pages and keep things up to date.

If for whatever reason you do get swept, be it by your own choice or by missing an Interest Check, it will also not be a restriction on returning. If you realize a day, a week, a month after that you got swept, you will be allowed to re-apply with whomever you wish.

Down below there will be a form to copypaste and reply with to this specific Interest Check. I will keep it live until January 5th, at which point I will be putting up the next week, Week 34, with a small plot that I hope will bring some intrigue back to the Valley and get people involved again.

So as a refresher:

Every three months there will be Interest Checks where you will need to reply to let me know you and your characters are still around. Getting swept is not a barrier to returning should you wish to.

January 5th will be the deadline for this one, as well as when Week 34 is going up with a little plot to start with.

I adore you all, I appreciate your constant patience and grace with me, I'm sorry this year has been so bloody rough for so many of us, and I hope that I can at least bring a little joy and entertainment to 2026 in our little pocket of the internet.
